Absolutely nothing. Want to know why I don't get hung up on what size I am? Because it doesn't matter. For years girls and women alike have been fretting over what size jeans they wear. Or what dress size they are. I used to be like this. Don't get me wrong, after I had my son I looked at my size 6slim jeans and then at my new size 10 jeans and felt a little bad. A years have passed and I learned a few things about myself and about sizes. I have done a lot of online shopping and shopping in general and I noticed that sizes vary drastically from one manufacturer to another. In one brand you may be a 10 and in another you may be an 8. In one brand you may be a medium and in another a large. Am I killing myself over it? No. Here's why.
There is a little thing called feedback. Sometimes we get it from others. It can be anything from a glance, a compliment or someone really giving it to you. We also give ourselves feedback. It can be feeling happy and exuberant. Or it can be feeling grumpy, angry, stressed out, and upset. What does this have to do with sizes? Your clothes should fit YOU, whatever size YOU are. If you're happy, I mean truely happy with yourself, if you wake up happy with the way you feel and look everyday. Why should it matter what SIZE you are? You can be a 2 or a 22. Happiness comes in a sizes and shapes. On the other hand if you aren't happy with the way you feel, you look at yourself in the mirror and know you need to make a change so that you do feel better, then it's time to start taking the steps you need to, to get to that ideal goal. The bottom line for me is, I made amends with my new post baby 'size'. Can I stand to feel a little better? Yes. Am I taking the steps to get to that goal? Yes, I'm starting now.
I don't really know what size I am. I buy clothes, that fit me. When I go into dressing rooms I usually take 3 different sizes with me, to try on. The best way to shop online is to take your measurments, a bust, a waist, and a hip measurment. Most online retailers have sizing charts available on their sites to go by. This tends to work the best. So the next time you start to get hung up on what size jeans you just bought, ask yourself for a little feedback and then decide how you really feel about it.

Heyyyy Sugar Lips!
Sugar Lips, has been used as a term of endearment for decades. Not always welcomed, often the choice of sleezy guys trying to pick up on women. Well, now sugar lips has got a whole new meaning! If your lips are left dry, chapped and peeling from the blustering winter winds, try this out. Easier than PIE. All you need is some sugar ( light brown works best ) and a plain ol' stick of chapstick. What you do is crank up the ol' chapstick until you have it sticking a little bit out of the tube. Pour a teaspoon of sugar in a bowl, and dip the chapstick into the sugar until its coated. Then proceed to put on the sugar coated chapstick on your lips! This will help exfoliate all the not so nice looking skin from your lips. Of course remove it when you're done ;) TIP: This works really good when before you take a shower you apply some lip moisturizer or vasoline, then do the sugar lip scrub after your shower. =)
******* Good luck and get those lips ready for some smoochin' this springtime!

Let's empower ourselves. My Dream Series has begun.
Hey ladies,
I put an earlier post on last week about taking 100% repsonsibility for your life and your actions. If you haven't read it it yet, please take the time to read it. If it helps you in some way, please share ;) Contrary to how most people think, I actually am highly interested in your life and would LOVE ( <----emphasis) to hear about whether or not these few words of encouragement may have helped. I've also inlcluded a clip from MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL below with my reflection on the before mentioned topic. Oh, by the way, this will begin my weekly views on life, love, and success. Since it's all about achieving your dreams. I wll aptly name it the Dream Series. I hope to hear from you soon and Take Care - Aubrey XOXO

Black Magic in a Bottle
I have tried many different mascaras, from drugstore to department store. Some are good, some are bad and the rest are just plain ugly. There are a few that have a good formula, but come with the wrong brush. Some leave you with the racoon effect, black smears under you eyes. Some leave you with flakes of black mascara that have fallen from your lashes onto your cheekbones. Some stick with you all day long and all is great, until you try to remove it at the end of the night and you have tried all but a chisel and hammer to get it off.
Meet Masuimi Max, or rather, her makeup. IAmTrouble, available exclusively from pinupgirlclothing.com .
I say this stuff is like magic in a bottle, hence the title for this blog entry. The applicator brush is full and large, the smell is good, unlike some I've tried. (Don't ask me why but I always smell all my makeup) It goes on smooth, without effort. The kind of effort it usually takes to get your mascara on without clumping. This stuff lengthens and creates fuller looking lashes. All the while maintaining a natural look. Not to mention, I gave it the mother of all tests. I kept it on over night while I slept, and NO LIE, NO B.S when I woke up, It was still in place and there was a minimal amount of flakes around my eyes and no smears on my white pillow case. I usually use L'Oreal Telescopic mascara, but when I gave it the same test, I woke up feeling like all my mascara had flaked off and was now in my eyes. ICK.
So from one girl to another, trust me when I say that it's definitely worth keeping this one in your makeup bag.

Whatcha Pin Up To?
What type of Pin Up are you? I should create a facebook quiz for this, haha! Are you a vintage revivalist? Do you like to wear vintage reproduction clothing like from Vivien of Holloway or from Whirling Turban? Do you wear your hair in victory rolls everyday or in a short hair do like June Cleaver? Can you never be seen in a pair of jeans?
Or do you like the sweet innocence of pre 1940's era? Think along the lines of anthropologie. You like to wear little silk dresses and hats, and have picnic's by the sea? (I dunno) LOL
Or are you the punk rock chick that has ink and iron? Do you shop at Sourpuss Clothing and don't feel right unless you have a skull clip in your hair or a pair of monster flick ballet flats on?
Or are you like me and you love the hot and sexy and sometimes sophisticated looks like those on Pin Up Girl Clothing? This site offers smokin' duds sure to score you a man, keep the man you've got or just go out and break some hearts while out with your girls.
Whatever the case, the Pin Up world is sure to have a place for you, wether you are a vintage purist, a punk rock girl, a modern pin up or a tiki lover, your style is sure to be welcomed into this crowd. A good site to check out to chat and meet others that share similar interests with you is http://pinuplifestyle.com/. The site has great links, forums, a discussion area where you can start a conversation on just about anything. They have groups that you can join made up of members who have the same interests as you. It's just like a Facebook for Pinup. You can find my profile on there, and I hope to see yours on there soon! Take 100% responsiblity for your life
Hey ladies,
I figured it's about time I let you guys in on how I think. I want you to know how I believe most people should feel inside. First off, I am a heavy advocate for people living their lives to the fullest and utilizing their minds to create whatever they want. I truly believe that, not one person is beneath another. All of us are special in our own way. I love make-up, hairstyling, shopping, and fashion. However my true passion in life is helping others realize that the world is better place with them in it.
Join me weekly, as I will be reflecting my thoughts on life, love, laughter, and why I think it's important for all of us to realize that whatever we put our mind to, we can can create. If this post hit close to home and affected you in some way, I encourage to to share. Please join me on my youtube channel as I will be expressing my opinion on this subject. My video will be released later on this week. Take care- Aubrey XOXO

All of us are special in our own way. I love make-up, hairstyling, shopping, and fashion. However my true passion in life is helping others realize that the world is better place with them in it.
I used to be a manger working endless hours with acquaintances and spending less time with my husband and son. Fortunately, because I took the correct actions at the right time, I was able to quit my day job and be a stay at home mom that works from home. I've started my own floral events business, which has taken off quite nicley. As you know, I've already started my youtube channel and my own blog. I've recently garnered some attenion from one of the biggest Pin Up Clothing companies. My viewership is moving along wonderfully on youtube and I am expecting big things in this upcoming year. One of my goals this year is to propel my channel on the frontpage of the "How-To Gurus" page. To think, all of this started from the fact that I decided to take 100% responsiblity for my life.
What do I mean by that? It means to stop the blaming and complaining. I realize that I am fully responsible for everything and all events that happen to me. I control what happens to me. I control how I react to events and situations. My thoughts create my future. I admit that I had a bit more of a pessimistic frame of mind in the past and all it did was lead me to a dead end everytime. Once I stopped blaming anyone and everyone other than myself, is when everything started to change. I no longer stress out so bad. I don't hold grudges anymore. The petty arguments and pointless debates have virtually disappeared. Not only do I feel better emotionally inside, but my body feels better. I feel alive & healthier. I sleep better, which in turn causes me to wake up relaxed and exhilirated. Not everyday is perfect for me but I will say that my life is great. If you took 100% responsiblity for your life, how many mountains could you move?

Hey Pin Up World!!! Ready to meet Sasha and Gaga???
Hey ladies, I thought it would be so much fun to do some looks inspired by the video "Telephone" from Lady Gaga and Beyonce. I was also approached by a viewer to do a tutorial on Gaga's hairstyle in the vid. At first, I was going to do just Gaga's distressed pin up look in the jail scene, but then I saw Beyonce with a cute front curl in the video too. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good pic of Miss Sasha Fierce with the look but you'll see soon enough what I've come up with. I've included some pics to show my inspiration. I'm having fun with it and I hope you will too. My video tutorials will be released today for Beyonce and Gaga on friday. So please keep an eye out. I will admit that I am not the biggest Gaga or Beyonce fan but I just wanted to share with you guys how the Pin Up World can effect even the biggest stars on the planet. Take care - Aubrey XOXO

Eyes Lips Face
Sooo, I tried E.L.F cosmetics. They are well known for having affordable cosmetics. Hmmm. We are talking $1-$3 per item for most. I didn't want to go overboard and order a ton of things without knowing if I was going to like them or not. Now, I didn't try everything, so all you E.L.F lovers please do not get mad at me when I say, I really wasn't impressed with much. Now, saying that, I will tell you what I liked and didn't like about what I bought. I did like the brushes I bought, they seem to be sof and they do the trick. They are definitly inexpensive enough to buy a few backups for when your brushes are inbetween cleanings. I like the concealer brush from the studio line, and the eyeliner brush from the studio line (even though mine came bent from shipping, $3 is not work the return). I also like my fan brush, does the trick for $1. The detail brush is good for eyeshadows.
I also liked the bronzer, Sun Kissed. I have actually been using it as a blush the last few days, with their all over face stick in peachy over the top for some shimmer. I like that combination. The cream eyeshadows duo's are great for a base coat, but I would not use them alone. I like the eggplant combo. Now, for the tough part. The liquid eyeshadow is horrible, it smears and spreads into oblivion somewhere, I dunno where but it's definitly not on my eyes when I'm done applying. Their liquid eyeliner is kinda dry and rough and it pulls on your eye to much during application. Nice pen shape but I'm sorry, I just couldn't take it. Not for me, I am partial to gel liners anyway. The mascara duo for $1 is actually pretty good, but it smears throughout the day and it smells bad. The lipglosses are okay, but they have that mint smell that I don't care for, if they were really creamy and nice feeling I could get passed it, but I wasn't that impressed for even $1. So, most likely, I will be buying their bronzer, all over face sticks, creme eyshadows to use as bases, and brushes. Overall, not too impressed, but you do get what you pay for, right?

Little Green Dress
For your next social gathering or cocktail party ( right, because we all go to those every weekend ) ditch your little black dress for a little green one! Audrey k has this adorable little green Nova dress! With its simple, classy yet stylish lines this is sure to be a crowd pleaser. It will bring a splash of color to your wardrobe and will stand out in the usual sea of black and red social event dresses. I also love the Ella dress. The color is perfectly matched to the styling of the dress. The color is great for standing out but the clean classy lines are sure to bring a bit of modesty to your appearance. They are not limited to clothing, they have tons of goodies to check out including fabulous bags!
I first saw Audrey k on Youtube, there was a video of a photoshoot where the models were wearing Audrey k clothing. I have been folowing them on Twitter and this dress inspired me to blog about the shop. I will definitly be stopping by Audrey k on my trip to SoCal this summer, and if all is well my camcorder will be rolling and I will be posting about my stop at the Audrey K shop! XOXO,
Aubrey

Some Like it Sweet!
Are you a sugar addict? Well, this will feed your addiction. http://www.thesimplysweetshop.etsy.com/ is your destination for the sweetest bath bombs around. Well atleast out of the ones I have tried. If you are a girly girl and like to smell like candy, then you will love the way bath time is gonna smell with these! But if you don't like ultra sweet smells, this is not for you!
They come packaged in polka dot tissue paper and are each in individual wrappers. For only $3.00 a pop this is a good way to try something new out. Each scent has a cute confetti topping. My favorite was Moonlight Path. It smelled rich and musky. And I loved the color my water turned! Watch my review here. Visit the shop here.

Cat Eye Makeup....MEOW
For decades the cat eye makeup style has been popular and favorited among designers to use on models on the runway. I think this past NYFW was a prime example of that. Wether it was thick and black with neutral eyeshadow base, or smokey and sizzling, perhaps done in this seasons hot trend of plum and green. However you decide to do this look remember there is a fine line ( no pun intended ) between classy and trashy. The latter being something like Amy Winehouse style eyeliner.
When you think of cat eye eyeliner one name in particular comes to mind, Brigitte Bardot. She was famous for many things but among them was her super smokin' black cat eye eyeliner.
If you get your inspiration form someone of a decade past or from current celebrities or models, be sure to keep it classy. A good example of some cat eye makeup looks are Beyonce, Megan Fox, Scarlett Johannson, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna and more.
Rihanna's super classy cat eye
Leighton's smoked out modern cat eye
Angelina's barely there cat eye
Beyonce's 1960's style cat eye
When creating your cat eye remeber to use a light hand. Meaning don't press hard with your applicator. If using liquid it will make it get drippy. If using a brush the bristles will spread out causing your line to become uneven. Try using a liquid eyeliner that has a handle shaped like a pen instead of the traditional short handle. If using a gel liner use a very thin angled brush instead of a thicker one. You can always go back over and make the lines thicker if you want to. Don't be afraid to use color with the cat eye! You can keep it peachy or go for a plum smokey eyeshadow. I will be posting my official cat eye tutorial on Youtube soon! Keep and EYE open for it...sorry, I couldn't resist that one ;)

Feeling Blue?
Well get ready to be insta-happy! I think it's impossibe to be down in the dumps feeling when you have this look going. I have been sporting it the last two days and I gotta tell you, I am sooo happy I decided to give it a try! I did try it at first with a deeper blue and I wasn't too crazy about it. But this Aqua color has got me by the....eyeballs? eyelids? haha I dunno but I love it! I actually spotted a look like this on my favorite model, Micheline Pitt. She models for pinupgirlclothing.com and she is a MUA and hair stylist. Her work is amazing. She was modeling a hair accessory in this picture here. If you like it watch my tutorial on how to get the look here.

Perk Up Your Old Spring Wardrobe With a Few New Accessories
Spring is here and a bunch of us are starting to hit the stores in search of new threads. If you can afford it then great! But if your pocketbook is feeling a little light these days consider dressing up your current wardrobe with a few accessories that will be sure to add a whole new light to your last seasons style.
Vintage scarves are one way to add some sweetness to springtime dresses of seasons passed. Look for light colors. Creams, orangy tangerines, coral, sweet pinks and blushes. Also, remeber that colors like coral look great when combined with cream or turquoise.
Don't forget to add a innocent looking clutch to the mix. Ditch your heavy shoulder breaking bags from this fall and winter for a lighter look. Search your local antique stores for great deals on sweet sophisticated clutches. They will run from about $7.00 to $30.00 for most stores.
Stuck with a bunch of tired looking dresses and tunics? Why not pair them with some textured tights and belts to bring life back to them? Belts are a dime a dozen these days, and tights when done correctly can bring a cool vintage feel to the simplest sheath dresses or tunics.
Vintage scarves are one way to add some sweetness to springtime dresses of seasons passed. Look for light colors. Creams, orangy tangerines, coral, sweet pinks and blushes. Also, remeber that colors like coral look great when combined with cream or turquoise.
A great thing to add instead of scarves are necklaces. There are many ribbon type necklaces to choose from this season that add a splash of color as well as sparkle. Check out these for example, or learn to make your own with some items you may already have by clicking here.
