Another one for Spring!!

Coming soon to Youtube: Copper and Pink Eyes!! You will need a Coastal Scents 88 color Eyeshadow Pallette for this!!
I like this one!!

Pin Up Updo

This is a great one! It takes more time to curl your hair than to complete this updo! Once your hair is curled pull the hair up and pin! Check out the tutorial on this look! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2_2gjIf59k
It simple to do and makes a nice look for a date night, a school dance or prom and even a wedding updo! Use a large sized hair accessory like a flower, bow or a fascinator or pill box hat! Hope you enjoy and send me those pics of your finished look!

Gun Metal Grey Eyes

I just recently tried out NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils. I must say I was impressed! They glide on nicely and they blend very well with a detail eyeshadow brush. I used two of them in Black Bean and JEP along with my coastal scents 88 color pallette to create my Gun Metal Grey Eyes tutorial. It is a great modern cat eye look that is easy to do. I got inspiration to do this look from a lot of the looks I saw on the runways during New York Fashion Week, well what I saw from the pictures anyway ;) NYX Jumbo eyeshadow pencils are a cool four bucks a piece which also make this look a keeper!! I encourage you to give it a shot for yourself! Good Luck! xoxo,
Aubrey

Do you like saving $$$ like me?

Three words. Retail me not. Well actually http://retailmenot.com/. This useful little tool has come in handy so many times for me, and I am just now writing about it because it's fresh on my mind after using it last night to get 50% off my E.L.F order. So basically what it is, is a mecca of coupon codes for online retailers. Some of them work, some don't but you gotta give it a try. It's so easy and free. All you do is go to the site, punch in the name of the store you are ooking for and POOF! Up pops a list of coupon codes to choose from! They also give you the percentage of reliability so if something worked 50% of the time or more-give it a shot. Also, don't forget to share the love! If you know about a sale put it into the system so others can enjoy!! Hope this little blog was helpful!!! Good Luck! xoxo,
Aubrey

The design is flawless, the zipper is sturdy and the inside is even lined with a matching fabric! You will not be disappointed with this Friday Find!! Check out the store at http://queenbeehandmade.etsy.com/. The bags range from about $10-$15. I included some pictures of the other styles I am diggin'. Hidden Gem, Molten Metal?

It isn't hard to find great makeup if you know where to look! Well, in this case I've done the looking and the finding for you. This hidden gem is better known as My Beauty Addiction http://mybeautyaddiction.com/ I was very pleased when I tried out the mineral eyeshadows for the first time. I could not believe how much color was in the shadows! They are more like a pigment they are so rich in color. I am actually in love with the Molten Metals line! It's like you're pouring melted gold on your eyelids! I can't wait to show you more looks with the other colors I have. Viva Las Vegas is a pink that I am dying to try out, also Aquadise looks GREAT! Another great thing I tried was their gel eyeliner. It is very comparable to the gel liner by Studio Gear that I use. What I did was wear grey eyeshadow with MBA's pink gel eyeliner and it was AWESOME! The liner stayed on all day! (and I even wore it out for a day of shopping and walking around outside in the sun) haha...The eyeshadows are offered at the great price of $5.00 for a 5g jar, Molten Metals are $5.00 for a 3g jar and the gel liner is $8.25! Awsome makeup for awesome prices!

Mineral makeup is pretty cool because you can go from a very natural look, to over the top, colorful looks. http://mybeautyaddiction.com/ offers a huge selection of colors of shadows and other products as well. Make sure you check out their website for more information and to take a look at their product assortment. Make sure you add them on Facebook and Twitter too for updates and sales info! http://www.facebook.com/mybeautyaddiction http://twitter.com/mbacosmetics. I've also included their product description:

Our Molten Metals are pure metallic pigments. They are made from bronze and copper powders and silica. No micas, no oxides, no fillers or dyes. The true beauty of these pigments is hard to capture on camera. They shimmer with a uniquely super-saturated and metallic chroma.Smolder is a deep rich super saturated burgandy/wine shadeAged Gold is a super saturated bronzy/goldBurnished is a super saturated color with a deep gold hueGold Olive is a super saturated gold with an olive green undertoneGoldenrod is a super saturated golden brownMilk Chocolate is a super saturated metallic bronze/brownRust is a super saturated warm brown with copper undertones Umber is a super saturated deep red brown

Kim Kardashian Inspired Hair Tutorial

Hey again! This time I wanted to give you a more edgy look. I saw this look on the lovely Kim Kardashian and I loved it! I also saw it in a Forever21 ad on some models. It is a great look for spring to wear with a nice spring style dress. Take a look at my post of spring clothes collage that I did yesterday. This hairstyle would be great with any of the dresses that are on there. You get the idea! This hairstyle isn't for you if you have very short hair and are just starting out with pin up hairstyles. If you have medium to long hair it's a little bit easier to do, but I don't want to discourage you from trying. You'll never know if you can do it or not if you don't try right?! I hope you like it! Send me some pictures of your finished do's!!! Good luck and have fun!!

Zombies and Kittens and Skulls OH MY!!

So this isn't your average zombie story here. We all have the picture of what a zombie is supposed to look like in our minds. The ripped up clothes, patchy hair, blistery skin, blood dripping from the mouth, limping, fresh out the grave, slow walking creatures that they are. Or are they? Lately I have been looking around at some of the Pin Up clothing sites and have seen some pretty darn cute zombie styles that bring a whole new light to the word scary. These aren't scary at all! From hair clips with a zombie-fied Hello Kitty on them, to pink hair bows with green skulls in the center, these things are adorable! There is a whole other genre within the Pin Up world. The classic Pin Up meets horror. Horror movies have been a staple of American past time, whether you think so or not. Just about as long as blond and brunette bombshells have been around. House of Wax, Frankensteins Daughter, The Bad Seed and Teenage Zombies are just a few popular one's from the 1950's. I personally think that this style is pretty cute when it's done the right way. I have always liked it but never ventured to create a look based on it. I think the time has come...Look for my Zombie Pin Up inspired look coming soon!

You want me to drink what?!?!?!

Okay I agree, the first time I saw a commercial for Yakult probiotic drink, I was skeptical. In fact I think my exact words were "What the hell is that?". I had never seen it before anywhere. I don't even know how long it has been in the US market..it could have been here for 50 years before I ever knew it. What I did know is that I wanted to try it. So I knew probiotics are supposed to be good for you but I never really understood why. Probiotics are a naturally occurring bacteria, but the good kind not the cooties kind. The kind that you want in your body, your digestive tract to be exact. "I don't have any digestive problems though," okay, kinda the point but not really. When you take good care of your digestive tract it takes care of you. The probiotics help your body to absorb nutrients from the food that you eat better, meaning , that broccoli you just choked down will actually do some good. So now that you are absorbing the nutrients that you need your overall health will improve. Now, I am definitely not a scientist or doctor of any sort but what I can tell you is that is sure does taste good! I don't know what probiotics taste like but it must be a melted push pop because that's what Yakult tastes like. MMM MMM good. So, do yourself a favor and get yourself a pack of Yakult. Try it out see if you like it. I drink one a day, even if it doesn't do all it says it will for you, at least you have a new yummy drink!

POP POP POPPLES...POP POP POPPLES...

So, yesterday I was on Youtube looking up random things like I usually do and I had a memory from my childhood spring up. Maybe my mind got sparked from all the movie remakes coming out about Transformers, G.I. Joe's and other cartoons and toys from my past..okay well Transformers may not be from my past but I remember my older brother used to watch this religiously every Saturday morning. Anyway, I remembered one of my favorite cartoons from the eighties..The Popples!! I thought okay, there is no way anybody has a clip of that show on Youtube..but I typed it in and low and behold...there it was!! So after watching a couple episodes (more like 5 or 6) I came to a funny realization, maybe. Okay so we all know that what you watch on TV as a kid can shape and mold who we are today right? Or so we've been told. But getting back to the point, one of the characters on this show, a girl popple named 'Party' is a pink popple who likes to have fun, celebrate, and giggles after every single sentence she says. HMMM. I know I watched this show everyday of my life for a few years, but is it really possible that I actually took on some of the characteristics of this popple? HAHA...I have been known to giggle a lot and to always want to play and not work...And then this made me think about something else. I had a computer game on a floppy disc when I was about seven or eight. I know...floppy disc right? Not the small one's either..we are talking five inches here...Anyway, it was a Barbie game. The whole object of the game was that Ken calls you and tells you he is picking you up for a date at seven o'clock or something...Then you have to go to the mall, pick out an outfit, go home get dressed etc. and if you didn't have on the correct attire for the date Ken would call and say " Sorry Barbie, plans have changed." UUGGHH...How horrible is that game?!?! Maybe that's why growing up I always changed my clothes 20 times before leaving the house to go out, for fear of not being accepted or included in society!!! Okay probably not the reason but I still think that was a horrible game for young girls haha...like so not the message you want to be sending right? Anyway, just felt like sharing that little tidbit with you guys!!

Talk about conversation hearts!!!

Being able to splurge on luxury bath items, is a girls therapy from
everyday life.
Being able to splurge on luxury bath items at an
affordable price is even better. That is Bathgasm's
specialty. Some of you are probably familiar with items like bath bombs,
bath fizzes among other bath products. You are also probably familiar
with big name companies like LUSH who sell these products. I was so
lucky to have come across a GREAT company who
specializes in making/selling these fabulous items. Imagine yourself
after a long day soaking in a warm bath filled with the aroma of
your favorite fruit. Or spending a half an hour in a hot bath on a cold
day with the smell of the tropical beverage Pina Colada
surrounding you. Visit http://bathgasm.com and make that
a reality for yourself! You will not regret this purchase! They have
the best deals on their bath fizzies and they are spectacular! Some of
the products they have right now for Valentine's day are giant sized
conversation hearts! You get 5 of them for $15.00 USD!
Also cute round bath fizzies with pink hearts on them, 3
for $9.75 USD
! The quality of them is fantastic. When I
dropped my Valentines' Day Buttercream Cupcake
scent bath fizzie into my warm bath it fizzed for about 2-3 minutes
filling my entire bathroom with the scent of fresh cupcakes and made
my water rich and moisturizing. I didn't even have to apply lotion
when I got out! Bottom line is, you can still afford to feel amazing
and beautiful, or give a great gift to someone or yourself this
Valentine's Day or any day throughout the year. I will be ordering
more from Bathgasm very soon. You should take the
time to check it out! Hope this was helpful!
